Industrial Wastewater Treatment
The goods produced by industrial companies are essential for our daily lives. However, during the production of these goods, various materials may be generated, which can potentially harm the environment. If these materials are handled carelessly or people try to dispose of them illegally, they can cause serious environmental damage. The elimination of such damage started with great momentum in the early 1990s during environmental remediation works, but many of these projects are still not finished today.
When developing industrial wastewater treatment technologies, our company always assesses the quantitative and qualitative characteristics of the materials leaving the manufacturing processes, and tries to find a solution for their safe – and preferably economical – disposal or recycling. In fortunate cases these materials can be recycled back into production or serve as raw material in another manufacturing process. However, there are also materials that require some form of treatment so that they do not harm the environment. One of the largest such streams exiting production processes is wastewater, which can be generated at several points of the manufacturing process, with a pollutant content depending on the technology, or it can even originate from the cleaning of equipment. Its treatment must be resolved before discharge into the receiving environment, ensuring compliance with the legally defined limit values.
Körte Environmental Technology Ltd. – and its predecessor – began dealing with the treatment of industrial wastewater in 1984. With the expansion of its business boundaries, the company became one of the market leaders in the field of industrial emissions – wastewater and sludge treatment – by the early 1990s. This position has been successfully maintained to this day!
We offer our clients a comprehensive service, which includes the following:
- on-site survey and assessment,
- sampling to determine the characteristics of each discharge point,
- preparation of material balances,
- laboratory experiments to determine the treatment technology,
- pilot-scale experiments with equipment installed on-site,
- technological design based on the experimental results,
- preparation of all documentation required for permits and operation (water permit, operating instructions, etc.),
- manufacture and/or procurement of the machinery and equipment needed for the treatment technology,
- on-site installation and commissioning of the technology, operator training,
- service and chemical supply,
- operation service.
Over the past three decades we have worked in almost every industry, building wastewater treatment and/or sludge treatment technologies – for textile factories, slaughterhouses, dairy plants, car and machinery factories alike.
