Our company, Körte Environmental Technology Ltd. – together with its predecessors – has been present in environmental protection for more than 30 years. In the early period the main activity was the service dewatering of sludges from surface treatment (galvanic) processes. From this, technological development gradually grew: first the modernisation of existing wastewater treatment processes, then the development of our own solutions and their turnkey installation.
Our business scope expanded – we designed our own machines and equipment for the technologies and manufactured them ourselves; some of these we still sell as products today. By then our field of activity was no longer limited to the galvanic industry: we gradually reached almost every sector. We built wastewater treatment plants for textile factories, slaughterhouses, dairy plants, car and machinery factories. By the early 1990s we had become one of the leading companies in industrial environmental protection, with increasingly significant waste management projects alongside wastewater treatment.
Our equipment inventory, manufacturing background and the knowledge gained while developing technological solutions helped us join the emerging environmental remediation works. We had numerous projects in the groundwater cleanup of abandoned barracks and the remediation of environmental damage caused by illegally disposed waste.
It was through commissioned work with Western European companies establishing themselves in Hungary at that time that we became acquainted with the concept of environmental services. Initially this meant operating the technology we had built, later practically managing all of the client’s environmental tasks: operating personnel, chemicals, liaison with authorities, and professional supervision with a performance guarantee.
As an extension of our technological portfolio we merged with a company holding a biological wastewater treatment licence; after a few years of cooperation the partner spun off and continued independently. A few years later, following a reorganisation, there was also a change in the ownership structure. Today Körte Environmental Technology Ltd. remains a leading player in industrial wastewater and sludge treatment, underpinned by its solid professional background and high-quality, fair work.
Our goal is to remain one of the defining players in industrial environmental protection.
