Environmental Services
Environmental services as an activity emerged in Hungary in the early 1990s with the establishment of foreign-owned factories, primarily from Western Europe. Our company, along with its predecessor, encountered this type of task at the General Motors (Opel) factory in Szentgotthárd. At that time, as the sole Hungarian supplier, we were awarded a contract to develop the technology for treating oil-emulsion wastewater generated from engine production and were also asked to operate it. The "philosophy" of this outsourcing activity was that everyone should do what they are best at, what is their area of expertise. GM was good at car manufacturing, so they "outsourced" other activities that were not directly related to car production but were necessary for its daily operation, such as security, cleaning, transportation, and environmental protection. In the latter category falls environmental protection, where our company was initially entrusted with the operation of the sewage treatment plant we built and later with the operation of other similar technologies within the factory. Gradually, this activity expanded to include comprehensive environmental supervision, including maintaining contact with regulatory authorities. To support this, we deployed our own operating personnel to Szentgotthárd, while the entire staff of Körte Environmental Technology Ltd. provided the necessary professional background.
This type of operational service has gradually spread and is now used not only by foreign-owned companies but also by domestic ones.
Within the framework of this service, we provide:

- - Preparation of environmental reports, declarations, etc., necessary for operation.
